New Bridge For The Plank Road

New Bridge For The Plank Road

Note To ALL Club Members

When riding the County trails please ride offset (not straight down the center) so we are not making ruts in the trail. Also when you are riding all of our trails please yield to pedestrians, horseback riders, hikers, and bicyclists on the trail. This means at least stopping for horses and slowing down for people. Also, when you are getting close to houses please slow down as a common courtesy to reduce dust. It is also illegal to ride down either State Routes 370 (in Cato) and 104A (in Fair Haven). We only have permission to cross these main routes. If you are caught, you WILL be ticketed and it will reflect poorly on the club. We need to do all this so we can keep people happy so we are allowed to continue sharing the trails in the near future.

  1. How many more areas must the membership lose due to idiots ripping and tearing up the trails and parking areas? No doubt this decision was based on the actions of non-members. Trail patrol needs to be out more catching people that are not members who are abusing the trail system.

  2. Trail patrol should have been out trying to stop all the idiots doing donuts in the parking lot there. Lot of non-members on the trails too. Looks like this club is going to hell in a hand basket real quick.

  3. There are only about 12 or so people who consistently help patrol and maintain about 38 miles of the trail system out of the 600 or so members in the club. That's a lot of work for volunteers most of which work a full time job also. I'm sure those few people who help would appreciate some more support on patroling the trails in the future.

  4. The Trail Patrol is based on a few club members that have volunteered their own time and resources to help the club keeps its trails safe.By no means is it their sole duty or responsibility to police the trail system at all times. The club has been in contact with law enforecment to help patrol and police the trails. The club also counts on its members to help police the trail system. If a member comes across a non member on the trails please stop them and ask them to leave the trails immediately.Same goes for dirt bikes, as there are no dirt bikes allowed on the trails please ask them to leave immediately. If there are any questions or concerns please contact Jermey Bomgren at 592-8626
