Dont forget the Oswego Valley ATV Club Best Hand Ride this weekend! $10 Registration, Registration locations- Dad's Diner parking lot located in Hannibal NY on the corner of Rt.3 & Rt.104, Hannibal American Legion on Rochester St. & TC'S on Rt 34, Cato NY. Event starts at 9am and you Must have 7 stamps and be back to the american legion by 4pm to draw cards. The best 5 out of 7 cards wins. Possible wild card stop. 1st Prize= $150 visa 2nd Prize= $50 visa 3rd Prize= $25 visa

Work Detail

Attention club members this Saturday at 8 am we will be replacing the decking on the Martville bridge that is located on the Cayuga county trail between Cato and Fair Haven. 2012 Hannibal Parade Float

Fair Haven Parade

Fair Haven parade is coming upon us quickly. The parade is July 5, 2012 at 7pm. We would like ATV riders to bring there ATVs and follow our float. We will be meeting at Dick Lunkenheimers’s place (14236 Fair Haven Rd. Sterling, NY 13156) at 5:30 pm, to decorate the float. We will leave Dick’s by about 6:15 to 6:30 to head down and line up. We usually don’t get the numbered spot where we line up until that day. If you can participate please watch our Facebook page for our line up number, if you do not go to Dick’s. As soon as we get our number we will post it. Hope to see you there.

Attention Members

Tomorrow morning (6-9-12) at 9am we will begin the cleaning of the new club property on Muck Drive. We are asking that any club members that are able to help to just bring yourself and a pair of gloves. The property is located on the north end of Muck Drive opposite the muck. If the weather doesn't cooperate or you have any questions please call Jermey Bomgren at 592-8626 or Derek Moody at 289-4397. Thank You in advance for any help you can give us.

Attention Club Members:

It has been brought to my attention that there has been someone doing donuts on one of our trails leading into Fair Haven. Anyone that is caught doing this will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for vandalism. If you see anyone doing this or any other destructive activity, please get a plate number or member sticker number and call Jermey at 592-8626. If we want to continue to be able to ride into Fair Haven and all the other trails we have, we need to stop these people from upsetting our landowners and being disrespectful to their property. Please…respect all of our landowners and their property. It is a privilege to be able to use their land, not a right. We need to all work together to keep this privilege. Attention Members:

Due to the unusual temperatures we have had, I contacted Cayuga County and Oswego County about opening our trails sooner. Due to contracts already in place and approved for the season, we have to maintain our normal opening day of the trails which is April 15th. I know everyone is probably itching to ride but please stay off the trails until April15th. We do not want to ruin our relationships with the counties and other private landowners.

Attention Club Members

Just wanted to give everyone an update:

We finally worked out a deal on the land that we have been working on buying on Muck Road . We signed the final papers last Friday for the property. Now we will be getting the fallen building and debris cleaned up on the lot. Next year hopefully we can come up with some good ideas for fundraisers to make enough money so we can put up a club storage building on the lot. The lot has a lot of potential for the club because it already has a well, septic and electric. Any ideas you have for fundraisers please bring to the club meeting on Wednesday, February 1st at the South 40.

Please remember that we still have lottery calendars to sell. If you would like to get some lottery calendars please contact Regina Lunkenheimer at 947-6052. Everyone's support is what keeps this club going. Let’s try to make this lottery calendar fundraiser a success for the club again this year. We need continued support from club members to do this.

An Update for Oswego Valley ATV Club Members

Elections were held at our October meeting. Officers are as follows:

President is Jermey Bomgren
Vice president is Steve Engle
Secretary is Barb Rieth
Treasurer is Regina Lunkenheimer.

The board members and all other positions will remain the same.

We are still selling lottery calendars. They are a great Christmas gift. We really need everyone’s help selling calendars so that we can make it as successful as the last time. The drawings will be held during the months of February, March, and April. If you would like to purchase some or sell them please contact Regina Lunkenheimer at 947-6052.

We are trying to purchase property on Muck Road for club use.

The next club meeting will be held on February 1st, 2012. We will be discussing our annual NASCAR chicken barbecue on February 26th at the South 40. Our next newsletter will be sent out at the end of January and will include additional details on meeting locations.

We would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and hope to see everyone next year (is it spring yet?).

The Lottery Calendars are now available for sale and are $5.00 each for the Daily Evening #’s for February, March and April. Attention ATV Club Members

There will be a club meeting at the Hannibal VFW tomorrow night at 7pm. Please try to attend if possible as we have several topics to discuss. There will also be nominations of officers for the upcomeing year.
